I know there are many cool bikes out there that give a different level of performance than Harleys. And like Harleys, some have there own culture, style and following. If you didn’t want a Harley motorcycle, what would you get and why?

Kawasaki… I love crotch rockets.
I think the victory has some good looking bikes.
some kind of japanese crotchrocket cause they are faster and the japanese vehicles are known for reliability.
A Honda Goldwing is more bad ass then a Harley could ever be….
i would get a custom chopper like a big dog or one made by a similar company. good luck
Norton Commando
Triumph Bonneville
The nice steady thump of an old 4 stroke British bike…
Problem is Harleys are all about the image and the culture, and not at all about performance, handling, value, quality, or actual riding. Motorcycles can be a fun, fast, comfortable way to get somewhere. It’s not about showing off.
i would buy one because i like them and they are good motorbikes full of good history attached to them i would go for the harley davidson v rod model like michael schumacher has this one and he knows a good bike when he sees it.
if you want a cruiser type bike……look into the yamaha STAR series……..very nice and lots cheaper………i have a kawasaki concours sport touring bike myself
My choice was a Moto Guzzi. They are very reliable bikes and have a variety of styles to choice from. The down side is that there aren’t many distributors or mechanics so you need to have a committment to doing a lot of the work yourself.
the only other bike i might consider would be a victory…
i hate disposable jap junk.. they are meant to be used and thrown away.. i like things that last..
by the way the ONLY bikes that can run with the Harley’s are Suzuki’s.. watch any pro drag race you will see those two running and ALL others watching and wishing
Castrated!
Real men ride Harleys.
Buy American!
well since i cant afford a harley im buying a honda rebel, for 3grand…but i want a harley…..i want my dads harley….
if your wanting a cool bike with a following, I would choose the triumph, really cool bikes, but if your looking for good looks, dependability, and the ability to go on long trips on it, I would definantly go with a honda shadow.
Honda Goldwing. Half the price of a full dressed Harley, more comfortable ride and how about 150,000 miles before even thinking about a major repair. Go ahead and call it a Jap bike but, they are being built in Marysville Ohio. Check out the labor cost per hour at a Harley dealership. About 10 to 15 dollars an hour higher than a Honda shop.
I hate harleys and I hate them even more now that yuppie scum drive them…forget the culture your riding a bike for the enjoyment of riding not to join a stupid club..the whole freedom thing…remember the feeling of getting hit by some old ladie in a buick and never walking again thing…get what you want …its only a bike after all…I would spend the money on a sail boat…
Anything with 2 wheels its not about what you ride its just the fact your riding.
i reccomend a crotch rocket. thay are smooth awesome bikes. go to suzuki.com click on motorcycles then click sports bikes
Triumph Bonneville
Classic looks – modern performance.
To be released in Matt Black this year! I’m drooling (and saving)
Triumph,
or Norton.
They appeal to me.
That’s all that’s needed.
How about a nice Beemer~
indian because they have just as much history as harley and they rae american and we need more american made bikes out there not the rice rockets that some jap made for $2.00 an hour
I buy only crotch rockets. I like to go 120 through the streets, a Harley couldn’t do that. Harley isn’t the only bikes with culture. Me and my friends share some Mountain Dews, then put on our matching helmets and jackets, then see who can die first. It’s soo much fun!!
BMW, because they wont be obsolete next friday, and still make twins that feel like motorcycles you can ride while sitting up like a man & shifting occasionally , instead of like a monkey trying to hide a watermelon while shaking a nest of fire ants off its left foot.
KTM 990 Adventure if KTM would get thier head out of thier pooper, or if I wanted to put $18K into a bike it would be a BMW GSA.
buy American made anything support the American name brands, buy U.S.A.
I didn’t, that’s why I ride the bike pictured on my 360.
the BMW GS Adventure…. it’ll take you around the world the hard way…. no support vehicle required.
