Aquarius asked:
I want something sporty like for racing. I’m unsure about what type of chain to buy. I also want to change the sprocket to a lower tooth count (I hear that boosts performance as well) I have a Yamaha R6S 2008. Any advice out there? Looking to take the bike to the track, any good youtube videos would be appreciated too.

The best chain to buy is a 28 link Cornorton, available on the net from. The cost is very cheap.and when you order do not send any money they will bill you and then dont pay if you are dissatisfied and you can keep the chain.
For starters smarter than the commander is full of it.Any good quality O ring chain is good.I use Tsubaki O ring chains. They are very tough. But there are several good chain manufacturers. As for your sprockets just remember that it’s always a trade off.If you gain low end performance you lose it on the top end or gain top end and lose performance off the line.So which do you want to boost?Top end performance would be a larger front or smaller rear sprocket.Faster acceleration would be a smaller front or a larger rear sprocket. Many racers change gear ratios according to the track they are racing on.If they are on a track with lots of long straight sections they would gear the bike taller for more top end performance. On a track with shorter straights and lots of tight curves they gear it lower for faster take off performance. It would be best to go ride the track your going to be racing on and see which way your bike needs to be set up.
You need more teeth on the front sprocket and less on the back if you wanna go quicker. If you get it the other way round you will go slower. To get this and chains I would use wemoto.
