SV650 good all around bike. The VFR is a good choice too.
Insurance is good on these 2 bikes.
What flavor “street bike” are you interested in? Dual-sport, sport, standard, cruiser, scooter?
Just about any American, Japanese, or European bike is “good.” Your price range covers some available new, the rest used.
If you’re 5’0 – 5’9″ you might want to check out the Suzuki S40, a little 652cc single cylinder cruiser. Light and agile for city streets yet capable of running the Interstate at 70 -75 mph.
I know someone who bought a Kawasaki 500 LTD as a first bike and ended up riding it all over Texas and border-to-border.
for that price id reccomend anything in the 600cc range. i had and yamaha R6 and i loved it. its perfomance and speed was amazing and it handled great. personally i love yamaha bike as far as crotch rockets go and would tell you to get one. they are the quickest, lightest, and all around best made 600cc bike out there!!!!
